Year Round Swimming Resumes
The newly refurbished Rome High School pool looks great! All year round swimmers are welcome to resume practice at RHS on August 17, 2009. Seniors and Preseniors practice Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 and Saturday from 10:30 to 12:30. Intermediates have practices available from 5:30 to 7:00 (PM) Monday through Friday. See you there!
Fall Mini-Sessions
Three week sessions will be held starting August 18 and September 8, 2009 at the Rome High School Pool. Classes meet three times a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 until 5:30 and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30. The sessions focus on stroke technique in the four competitive strokes: freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke. In order to be eligible, children must be able to swim the length of a 25 yard pool in some fashion and be at least 7 years old. Generally speaking, swimmers who attend the sessions are 7 to 13 years old.
